A Sky-High Show of Purple and White Globes
Giant Mixed Allium sends up tall, sturdy stems topped with spherical blooms up to 5 inches across in light purple, deep purple, and creamy white. The flower heads hold their color for weeks from late spring into early summer, floating above the garden at 24 to 36 inches tall.
Plant them in fall wherever you want vertical interest, and they will weave beautifully between daylilies and irises. Alliums are also happy in large containers and raised beds, so a patio or small courtyard can get the same architectural display as a full border. Cut stems last well in fresh bouquets and dry beautifully for arrangements.
Why You'll Love the Giant Mixed Allium
- Big 5 in. globe blooms in a mix of light purple, deep purple, and creamy white.
- Weeks of late spring to early summer color on strong, self-supporting stems.
- Returns year after year in zones 3-9 with almost no maintenance.
- Deer and rabbits typically leave the onion-scented foliage alone.
- Excellent as fresh cut flowers and dried arrangements, plus a magnet for pollinators.
One bag of 15 bulbs is all it takes to add serious height and color to your spring garden.
