Collection: Zone 9 Plants

Zone 9 rarely drops below 20°F, and 300 of our plants thrive there. This is where citrus stops being a container project and becomes a landscape tree — Meyer lemon, Key lime, satsuma and navel orange all fruit in the ground. Add hibiscus, plumbago, guava, olive and palms, and the garden stops having a dormant season at all. Planting in Zone 9? Chill hours are the catch. Apples, cherries and most stone fruit need more winter cold than Zone 9 provides, so choose varieties specifically bred as low-chill or skip them for figs, persimmons and citrus instead.
